KK Women's and Children's Hospital

       Singapore's KK Women's and Children's Hospital is the only hospital in Singapore dedicated to providing specialized medical care for women and children. Established in 1942, its gynecology department boasts 12 specialties, while its pediatric department has 24 specialties. With a total of 900 beds, nearly one-third of all babies born in Singapore are delivered at this hospital each year.

       KK Women's and Children's Hospital is also an affiliated teaching hospital of the National University of Singapore's medical school. Currently, it employs 2,594 staff, including 312 doctors and 1,073 nurses. The hospital is committed to patient safety and continuously improving patient care processes and outcomes, and received quality certification from the Joint Commission International in 2005.      

       The hospital is the only maternity and children's hospital in Singapore, offering 45 medical specialties for women and children. It serves as a major emergency referral center for high-risk deliveries, gynecological oncology, uro-gynecology, pediatric oncology, pediatric surgery, and pediatric cardiology.    

       The Breast Center at KK Women's and Children's Hospital is the first medical institution globally to utilize a computerized radiography scanner approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for phosphorus plate breast imaging diagnosis. This imaging technology facilitates the early detection of breast cancer at its initial stages.   

       The KK Women's and Children's Hospital boasts the largest children's cancer center in Southeast Asia, with a cure rate for acute lymphoblastic leukemia reaching up to 80%.
